We present here the rules of the SEO competition entitled Qwanturank. With the site Qwanturank-seo.com we participate in the competition and have every intention of respecting the rules and therefore of course the competition regulations to the letter.
Article 1 – Qwant
The organizer is the company SAS Qwant. This company has capital of €30,017.12, and is registered in the Paris trade and companies register under number 532.867.256.
Its head office is located at 7 rue Spontini, 75116 Paris, represented in the person of its president Eric LEANDRI (hereinafter “the Organizer”), are organizing from December 2, 2019 to June 3, 2020, a competition entitled “ Qwanturank “.
ARTICLE 2 – WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
2.1. The Competition is open to any natural person, excluding members of the Organizer’s staff, its affiliated entities or its subcontractors (involved in the organization, production, implementation, promotion and the Competition), members of their family (ascendants, descendants and direct collateral, spouse or partner) or people living in the same household.
2.2. The participation of a minor is only possible with the prior written consent of a legal guardian.
2.3. The competition is also open to legal entities not counting among its partners or employees a person referred to in article 2.1.
2.4. Persons residing in a country subject to export restrictions or sanctions programs applicable to such competition may not participate in the Competition.
ARTICLE 3 – PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
The Organizer is the publisher of a general search engine accessible at the address
“www.qwanturank.com” (“The Qwant Engine”), which wishes to test its algorithms in real conditions on new keywords without history, allowing equal treatment between participants. The Competition aims to determine which site manages to rank highest in the search engine results when searching for the term “qwanturank”, at the end of the competition, according to the terms of designation of winners stipulated in this Regulations
ARTICLE 4 – HOW TO PARTICIPATE
4.1. Participants must register on the website http://www.qwanturank.com/ between December 2, 2019 and February 3, 2020, by completing the form with their last name, first name, company name (if applicable), e-mail address -email, telephone number, and root domain name (without subdomain) used to provide access to the website that they create during their participation (the “Site”). Only one entry into the competition is permitted per participant, with a single root domain name, and each participant must register a domain name belonging to them. A registration confirmation message will be sent to the participant after validation of the form. A new registration by the participant replaces and cancels the previous one.
4.2. The Organizer may verify that the declared domain name corresponds to public WHOIS records and, if it deems it necessary, may request access to WHOIS data or the addition of a specific HTML tag (meta type) on the site to which the declared domain name gives access.
4.3. The declared domain name must have been registered for the first time on December 2, 2019 or a later date. The Organizer may use any means of verifying the absence of antecedents on the domain, including backlinks.
4.4. The content of the Site must be in French.
4.5. The content of the Site, including the domain name declared, is free, on the condition of respecting all the laws and regulations in force in France, including intellectual property and image rights, and of not containing no pornographic, obscene, violent, political, discriminatory or offensive content towards a person or category of people, not to directly or indirectly promote weapons, prohibited or regulated drugs, games of chance, clairvoyance services, medications or alternative medicines, and not to denigrate or knowingly harm the image or reputation of the Organizer or any third party.
4.6. The participant acknowledges that the Organizer is free to assess at its sole discretion compliance with these conditions of participation and to reject or declare inadmissible any participation that it considers to have been made in violation of any of the stipulations of these Regulations. .
Article 5 – RIGHTS OF THE PARTICIPANT AND THE ORGANIZER
5.1. The Participant is solely responsible for the content of his Site and its availability, and the Organizer makes no commitment towards him and assumes no responsibility relating to the referencing of the Site and its visibility in search results. The Participant assumes sole responsibility for protecting his Site against attacks and other malicious acts by third parties and cannot claim to exclude any of the other participants whom he accuses of such malicious acts.
5.2. The Organizer is responsible for processing personal data relating to
registration for the Competition, which it retains for the entire duration of the competition and deletes after designation of the winners, except for data whose retention is necessary for compliance with a regulatory obligation or the execution of these Regulations. The participant has the right to access, rectify, oppose and delete this data, which he or she can exercise with the Organizer’s Data Protection Officer.

5.3. By participating in the competition, you accept that the Organizer uses, adapts and reproduces free of charge and without any form of compensation the name of your Site, its domain name, its logo, and your name on any communication medium to the online public and offline (in particular websites, social networks, magazines, newspapers, radio, television, applications), current or future, throughout the world, irrevocably and perpetually, for the purpose of communicating about the organization of the competition and /or its results.
None of the aforementioned acts should be interpreted as conferring on the Participant any right or claim whatsoever regarding the designation of the Winners of the competition.
Article 6 – PRIZES AND DESIGNATION OF WINNERS
6.1 The Organizer will have a search for the word “qwanturank” carried out on June 3, 2020 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Paris time) by a bailiff from the SCP Cellier-Leroy Libouban Valiergue office, located at 35 rue Pastorelli 06000 NICE, on the Qwant Engine, configured on the “France” search region in French, and will note the list of results up to and including the fifth different domain name, having been registered for the Competition. The five domain names thus noted, from best ranked to least well ranked, will constitute all the winners of the competition in this order.
6.2. In the event of unavailability of the Qwant Engine at the time provided for in article 6.1, the bailiff will carry out this search on the date and time of his choice.
6.3. The winners will each receive one of the following prizes, in the order of their ranking: • Prize no. 1 (winner who comes first): 20,000 euros
• Lot n°2: 15,000 euros
• Lot n°3: 8,000 euros
• Lot n°4: 5,000 euros
• Lot n°5: 2,000 euros
6.4. The email address communicated at the time of registration for the competition will be used to inform the winner, who will also be able to read on June 17, 2020 the list of winners published on the competition website at http:/ /www.qwanturank.com/ and make yourself known.
Payment of the winnings to the winner is made by the Organizer only by bank transfer within 2 months after receipt of the RIB (bank identity statement). The winner must send this RIB to the address seocontest@qwanturank.com no later than July 2, 2020, under penalty of being deprived of their winnings. In this case the prize will not be awarded. The Organizer reserves the right to request additional information necessary for reasonable verification of the destination of the lot and its compliance with regulatory obligations in force. Refusal to communicate such information on the part of the winner may justify a forfeiture of the winnings.
6.5. Only one winning entry will be accepted, per person, per family, per household. By household we mean members of the same family or similar situation (PACS, cohabitation or person residing under the same roof)
Article 7 – RESPONSIBILITIES
7.1. The Organizer cannot be held liable in any case in the event of a possible malfunction in the method of participation in this competition, linked to the very characteristics of the Internet; in this case, participants will not be able to claim any compensation of any kind whatsoever.
7.2. The Organizer reserves the right to modify, extend, shorten, suspend or cancel this Competition without notice and without its liability being incurred as a result (fortuitous event or force majeure as well as any other event considered by it to make it impossible execution of the competition under the conditions initially planned). No compensation may be requested by participants.
7.3. The Organizer is entirely free to determine the referencing and ranking criteria on the Qwant Engine, which are not communicated to participants, and cannot be held liable due to the ranking or lack of ranking of the Site. a participant or a third party in the search results.
7.4. The Participant is solely responsible for his Site and his actions undertaken during the Competition, assumes all costs, and agrees to guarantee the Organizer against any action, complaint, demand, eviction of any kind, from any person invoking damage directly linked to your participation in the competition, to the content of the Site or, where applicable, to the use made of the Prize awarded.
7.5. Any fraud, or attempted fraud, manifested by the start of execution and committed with a view to improperly receiving a prize, will be subject to prosecution in accordance with the provisions of articles 313-1 et seq. of the Penal Code.
Article 8 – ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
Participation in the Competition implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Rules.
Article 9 – APPLICABLE LAW
These regulations are subject to French law.
Any difficulty relating to the interpretation or execution of these regulations will be resolved amicably between the parties. If no agreement is reached within the following month, the dispute may be submitted to the competent courts of Paris.
